[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3Vyojlysp0]Fenton Records was an American record label of the 1960s, which released a number of singles and a few albums. One of the bands were The Jades.
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_ab5L7DDlU]The mighty Dawn 5, once one of the local favorites, and sadly, least known bands of the 1965-'67 era. They stayed together long enough to give us a great 45, just enough info to keep interest up, including an interview in the Indianapolis Teen Tempo magazine,(that I don't have yet) and then disappeared from the scene.

Contents Are were a garage folk-rock band from Quad City, Iowa that released two good 45′s and this 1967 private press album. It’s remarkable that the band were still in high school when they cut this lp as both the lyrics and musicianship are quite advanced.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGRJrGeG6lU]1968 brought the monster single "Jezebel", which went to #1 in several Midwestern radio markets and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. A string of chart singles followed, including “Everybody’s Talkin”, “14 Years”, “Out of Harmony”, “Hey Lenora”, “Push, Push” and others. Even the loss of band founder Clayton, who moved to California in 1967 with the band on the verge of stardom (replaced by keyboardist/guitarist Bob Ford), failed to slow down this musical juggernaut.
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0i5bzMpnYk]The Enfields were one of the countless garage bands competing for airplay in the 1960s. They released a series of quality local 45s before morphing into the more progressive Friends of the Family, of which by that time, principal songwriter Ted Munda was the only surviving member. The Enfields hailed from Wilmington, Delaware, where they were unquestionably the area’s top group.
