Probably regarded by most as a one hit wonder ("Whisper to a Scream"), Icicle Works' self-titled debut is actually a very strong album of new wavy post-punk pop, following on the heels of U2, Simple Minds, and the Sound. Yes, it can be a bit melodramatic, but songs like "In the Cauldron of Love" and "Love Is a Wonderful Colour" are awesome once you get in of the spirit. And "Out of Season" is a beauty, much more subtle than the rest.
